Granville Football Club were a 19th-century football club based in Glasgow that were one of the original 16 teams to participate in the inaugural season of the Scottish Cup. Granville suffered defeat in the first round of the 1873-74 season, losing 6-0 to eventual finalists Clydesdale. The team did not play in subsequent tournaments. Granville dissolved in 1878. Granville F.C. is also noted for fielding 3 players in the first ever official international football match in 1872, though all players officially played for Queen's Park. Captain Robert W. Gardner, William Ker, and either Joseph Taylor or James Thomson (depending on the source) played against England in a 0-0 draw at Hamilton Crescent. ==External links==
